I went to an amazing wedding planned by Michelle. I have never been to such a flawless event. The bride is a friend of mine and she kept telling me how she was waiting for a mishap as everything went so smoothly. When you plan an event and have a picture in your mind of what your day is going to look like, it rarely comes out the same. But this was better. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Michelle on various events over the past 10 years. The one that is the closest to my heart is from 2009 when we collaborated on ‘aBRAcadaBRA, an evening in support of women living with breast cancer’. My mother had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and that year, instead of a birthday party, I decided to organize a fundraiser to support cancer research. Having seen Michelle organize very successful fundraisers in the past, I knew she was the only person I could trust with an event so important to me, my family, and millions of people around the world. Not only did Michelle come up with the very catchy event name, she organized the staffing, did the graphic design work (including creating a full page ad for the Globe & Mail), and managed the logistics of the event the evening of. There are many things I could say in praise of Michelle, and I know anyone who chooses to work with her on their event will be very pleased by her eye for detail, her professionalism, and her charismatic personality.

“An evening I will never forget.”
My 60th birthday was a day that I will never forget. Michelle was tasked with organizing a surprise party in my honour. To this day, I still am covered with goose bumps when I recall that magical evening.
The research that Michelle did to make this memorable evening still awes me to this day. From talking to friends and family member a dream guest list was assembled. Very old friends were flown from across the country and lodged in secret locations until the big reveal!
I was told that I was being treated to a special dinner by a few close friends when in fact, when the time came, a stretch limousine arrived at the front door. I was greeted by ABBA music (my favourite) champagne flowing and my surprise guests: dear old friends.
As if this was not enough emotions for a lifetime, when we arrived at the venue, I was greeted by about 60 more friends who had been requested to wear a mask for this masquerade themed evening. My love of costuming and fantasy had not fallen on deaf ears.
